The Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) has officially released the  UTET 2023 Answer key. The UTET exam was held on 29th September 2023.

UTET 2023 Application Process 

The applications for  UTET 2023 are to be submitted online. The steps to submit the UTET Application Form are:

Direct Link to Apply for UTET 2023

Step 1: Visit the UTET website.

Step 2: Click on the link for UTET Online Registration to proceed to the next stage

Step 3: Enter the basic details and complete the registration.

Step 4: Login and fill the application form.

Step 5:  Upload your Scanned Photograph and Signature in the prescribed format. The candidates can use the Testbook Resize Tool to optimize the size of these documents.

Step 5: Check all the details carefully and make the payments by using the available payment methods such as Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking etc. 

Step 6: Take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for future references.

UTET Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates willing to appear in the upcoming UTET Examination need to know the Eligibility Criteria for the same. Knowing the Eligibility criteria well is the first element of any exam preparation. Know the nationality, age limits, and minimum educational requirements for UTET Examination from below. 

Nationality 

Candidates who are Indian nationals are eligible to appear for the upcoming UTET Examination. 

Minimum Education Qualification for UTET

The minimum educational qualification for the UTET Examination is given below.

Class 1st to 5th (Primary Classes)

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.) OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed) OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR

    Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education.)  OR

    Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.) OR

    Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
  • Shiksha Mitra passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.), from IGNOU

Class 6th to 8th (Upper Primary Classes)

  • Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in final year of 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (B.T.C./ D.El.Ed.) OR
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular)) OR
  • (Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed/L.T./Shiksha Shastri (Regular)), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed OR
  • Graduation (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
  • At least 50% marks either in Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)). Provided that minimum percentage of marks in Graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course prior to the 29th July 2011

To score well in the exam candidates must keep in mind the following about the UTET Exam Pattern and plan their preparation accordingly.

  • The exam will be objective in nature. 
  • The question paper for all subjects other than languages will be available in English and Hindi.
  • 1 mark will be rewarded for each correct answer
  • There will be no negative marking

UTET 2023 - Preparation Tips 

Candidates can follow the below-mentioned tips to prepare effectively in the upcoming UTET Examination. 

  • Know the Syllabus Well: Before starting the preparation for the UTET examination, go through the UTET syllabus once and start preparing accordingly. Only study those which are included in the  syllabus. 
  • Explore the exam pattern: The next step is to look at the exam pattern of the UTET examination. The examination consists of two papers such as Paper I and II, and the sections which will be covered can be found above.
