SSC JE Notification 2024-25 to be out! The Staff Selection Commission will be releasing the SSC JE 2024 Notification on 29th February 2024. Candidates will be able to apply till 29th March 2024. The SSC JE Exam Date 2024-25 is tentatively scheduled in May-June 2024. This is as per SSC Calendar 2024-25 cycle released on 7th November 2023. SSC JE CBT 2 Notice 2023 was out earlier for 2023 cycle on 6th November 2023.The Staff Selection Commission will provide virtual tables of IS 456:2000 code of practice as well as on-screen scientific calculator in SSC JE CBT II Exam Pattern for candidates attempting Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural). Earlier, SSC JE Answer Key 2023 was released tentatively for the the SSC JE CBT Tier-I held from 9th October to 11th October 2023.This is for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying &Contract). The SSC JE exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit Junior Engineers under various departments of the Central Government. A total of 1324 SSC JE vacancies have been announced for various disciplines like Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical. What is SSC JE?

The purpose of SSC JE is to recruit candidates for the post of Junior Engineer (JE) in various organizations like Border Roads Organization, CPWD, Central Water Commission, Farakka Barrage Project etc, for different branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc The selected candidates will be given a Group B Post (Non-Gazetted) in Level 6 of Pay Matrix (Rs 35,400-1,12,400) in the 7th Central Pay Commission.

7th November 2023: SSC JE Exam Dates 2024-25 Out!

The Staff Selection Commission has released the official SSC Exam Calendar 2024 -25. As per the calendar, the SSC JE Notification 2024-25 will be released on 29th February 2024 and candidates will be able to apply till 29th March 2024. Also, the SSC JE Exam Dates 2024-25 for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and 
Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2024 is scheduled in May-June 2024 tentatively. 

6th November 2023: SSC JE Civil Paper 2 Notice Out!

The Staff Selection Commission has released an official notice regarding SSC JE CBT Paper-II. Candidates who are attempting Part-A: General Engineering (Civil & Structural) will now be able to find the 'Necessary Tables of IS 456:2000 code of Practice' Tab next to Instructions Option under "Useful Data" option, unlike the printed booklet form used to given earlier. They will also be able to access the 'On-Screen Scientific Calculator'  towards the left side of the 'Candidate application image' as a Calculator icon throughout the exam. No Physical version of Table and Calculator will be allowed in SSC JE CBT Paper 2 exam.

13th October 2023: SSC JE Tentative Answer Keys Out!

The Staff Selection Commission has released the tentative answer keys of the Computer Based Examination Tier-I held from 09.10.2023 to 11.10.2023. This is for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying &Contract). Candidates can submit objections online from 13.10.2023 (05:00 PM) to 15.10.2023(05:00 PM) on payment of Rs.100/-per question/answer challenged.

3rd October 2023: SSC JE Admit Card Out for NER, WR, ER, MPR, CR & NWR Regions!

The Staff Selection Commission has officially announced the SSC JE Admit Card 2023 for six SSC regions namely North-Eastern, Western, Eastern, Madhya Pradesh sub-region, Central and North-Western regions. 18th September 2023: SSC JE Marking Scheme Changed!

The vacancies for SSC JE 2023 exam have been released in the official notification itself. A total of 1324 SSC JE Vacancies 2023 are to be filled across various departments and organisations as given below. 

How To Apply for SSC JE Exam 2023?

Check the SSC JE Application Process 2023 given below. Candidates must note that they can apply online till 16th August 2023 (23:00 hours) only. 

Part-I: Online Registration on SSC Portal

Step 1: Go to the SSC website and then click on the "Register Now" option in the upper right corner.

Step 2: Fill out the form with your Aadhaar number, name, father's name, mother's name, and date of birth.

Step 3: Fill out the form with your gender, highest educational qualification, cellphone number, email address, and current and permanent residence.

Step 4: Now, save these details and confirm your mobile number using an OTP provided to your registered cellphone number.

Step 5: Log in with your new login credentials and update your password to something more personal.

Step 6: After that, choose your candidate category, nationality, visible identity mark, and benchmark disability.

Step 7: In the form, attach a scanned copy of your current passport size photo and signature.

Step 8: Save the data, examine the details, and then click the "Final Submit" button.

Step 9: Two separate OTPs will be emailed to your email address and mobile phone number; enter any of them into the box.

Step 10: Then, underneath the declaration, click the "I Agree" button to finish the registration procedure and proceed to the online application form and fee payment.

Part-II: Online SSC JE Application Form

Step 1: Use your Registration Number and Password from Part I to log in to Part II of your application procedure.

Step 2: Next, click on the Apply for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) link.

Step 3:  List 3 exam centers of the same region as per your preference.

Step 4: Select the position for which you wish to apply and then submit your highest qualification and stream of education.

Step 5: Check the 'I Agree' box and then enter the captcha code that appears on your screen. You will get a preview of your form, and after you are pleased, click the submit button to proceed to fee payment.

Step 6: Pay the application fee and print a copy of the application form for future reference.

SSC JE Exam Application Fee 

The candidates belonging to the General/OBC category have to pay Rs. 100 while candidates from SC/ST/Female do not have to pay any fee to apply for the SSC JE Examination. Fee can be paid via BHIM UPI, SBI Challan/ Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit/Debit cards or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

Note: The SSC JE 2023 window for application form correction will be opened from 17th August 2023 to 18th August 2023 (23:00 hours). 

Reasons for SSC JE Application Form Rejection

The application form will be rejected under the following circumstances:

• Missing information in the application form
• Lack of supporting documents 
• Application fee not submitted on time
• Not fulfilling eligibility criteria

SSC JE Eligibility Criteria 2023 

To apply for the SSC JE 2023 exam, candidates must verify that they match the conditions listed under SSC JE Eligibility. The three elements that determine the SSC JE eligibility: nationality, educational qualification and age limit. Candidates have to fulfill eligibility criteria to apply for the SSC Junior Engineer examination. Below are the SSC JE Eligibility criteria.

Nationality for SSC JE

A candidate must be either a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently setting in India.

Educational Qualification for SSC JE

Candidates must ensure that their educational qualification or experience matches the following SSC JE Eligibility criteria.

SSC JE Age Limit (As on 1st August 2023)

The age limit for the Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer (SSC JE) exam ranges from 18 to 32 years, with variations depending on the engineering department. Candidates must consult official guidelines to ensure they meet the required age criteria.

Candidates must follow this age criteria as given below -

• For the posts for which age limit is upto 30 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1993 and not later than 1st August 2005.
• For the posts for which age limit is upto 32 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1991 and not later than 1st August 2005.
