The exam is an eligibility test for candidates willing to apply for Assistant Professor posts in colleges/universities in the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Tripura The candidates who qualify this exam can apply for Assistant Professor. • There is no age limit to attend the SLET exam.
• The candidates must have a Master’s Degree or equivalent with at least 55% of marks from the university which is recognized by the Government.

SLET Reservation of Seats 2023

A total number of 6% of the candidates who have appeared for Assam SET exam will be declared as qualified in the exam. For instance, if the total number of 1,00,000 candidates has appeared for the exam 6% i.e 6,000 candidates will be declared as qualified candidates in the exam. Below are the category-wise slots allotted for qualifying for the exam.

How to Apply for SLET 2023?

The State Level Examination Test Commission, Assam has invited applications for the Assam SET 2023. The application window will remain active from 15th November 2022 to 7th January 2023. The steps to apply online are:

Step 1: Visit the SLET website. Click the link to apply online for SET 2023.

Step 2: Complete the registration and fill out the application form.

Step 3: Upload a recent passport size photograph and signature. You may use Testbook's  SLET Photo and Signature Tool to optimize the size of these documents for uploading.

Step 4: Verify all the details and click on “I Accept” and click on save and next.

Step 5: You will be redirected to the payment gateway page. Pay the required amount and click on submit.

Step 6: Download and take a printout of the application form.

Assam SLET Selection Process 2023

The SLET Commission conducts the Assam SET as an eligibility test for candidates who wish to apply for the post of Assistant Professor in Government Universities of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Tripura. By qualifying this exam candidates can apply for the said post at the university of their choice. The selection process for final appointment will be as decided by the respective institution.

SLET Eligibility Criteria 2023

Candidates applying for the SLET exam must check the SLET eligibility criteria set by the organization for the candidates. Those who meet the eligibility such as age limit, education qualification will be eligible to appear for the SET Exam. Applications of ineligible candidates will be disqualified.

Nationality

According to the Official Notification, all the candidates appearing for SLET must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

There is no age limit to attend the SLET exam.

Educational Qualification

The candidates wishing to attend the  Assam SET should possess either of the following qualifications:

•  should have a Master’s Degree with at least 55% of marks from the university which is recognized by the Government for the unreserved category candidates (50% for OBC, SC, ST, PWD)
• Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree who have completed Masters level examination 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result) are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks. (i.e from 55% to 50% for appearing in SET.
• Candidates who belong to the third gender (transgender) are also eligible to get 
• same relaxation in fees, age, and qualifying criteria as are available to SC/ST/PWD Category.
• The subject-wise Cut-offs for the transgender category should be the lowest among those for SC/ST/PWD/OBC (NCL) categories in the respective subjects.
• Candidates appeared or will be appearing for the final year Master’s degree exam and the result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination can apply for this Test. 
• Such candidates will be provisionally admitted and considered eligible for award of pass certificate only after they have passed the Master’s degree or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks.

SLET Exam Pattern 2023

The Assam SLET Exam will comprise two papers for 100 marks and 200 marks respectively.The detailed SLET Exam Pattern is as follows:

• The SLET Examination consists of two papers.
• Paper I consists of General subjects which test Reasoning Ability, Divergent Thinking, Comprehension, General Awareness.
• Paper-II consists of the Core subject you have chosen.
• Each question carries 2 marks.
• There is no negative marking.
• The nature of  question asked will include Multiple Choice, Assertion & Reasoning, Matching, and True & False.

SLET Admit Card

SLET Cut-Off

The Commission will release the Cut Off for SLET 2023 after the examination is conducted and the result is out. The Cut Off marks may vary every year depending upon factors like Total number of appearing candidates, type of questions, etc. The SLET Cut Off is very important for the candidates as that is the minimum marks that a candidate must get to qualify for the next step. The SLET Answer key will be released in online mode on the official website of SLET Commission after the Assam SET has been conducted. Candidates can calculate their score by using the answer key provided by the authority.

Criteria of Declaration of the Result
