The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test is conducted as an eligibility test for candidates who wish to apply for Government Teaching Jobs in Odisha. Read on, for more details about the OTET Exam 2024 such as exam pattern, syllabus, OTET Exam date 2024, etc.

The applications for OTET Exam 2024 must be submitted online on the official wesbite. The steps For OTET online are as mentioned below.

Step 1: Visit the website of BSE Odisha. Click the link For OTET Online Application.

Step 2: Click on Login under Paper I or Paper to depending on the exam you want to apply for.

Step 3: Click on New Registration. Enter the details and complete the registration. Then login and proceed to fill the OTET Application Form & Complete the OTET Online process.

Step 4: Fill in all the required details carefully. Upload the scanned copies of your documents using the Testbook Resize Tool.

Step 5: Pay the required application fee.

Step 6: Verify and recheck all the mentioned details and submit the application.

OTET Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria 

The candidates need to satisfy the Nationality and Educational criteria before applying. The candidates must note that there is no age limit for the OTET Exam. Get detailed Odisha TET Eligibility Criteria in the following sub-sections

OTET Exam 2024 Nationality

The applicants must fulfil the following nationality requirements to be eligible for the OTET Exam 2024:

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • He/she must also be a permanent resident or domicile of Odisha state.

OTET Exam 2024 Educational Qualification

The candidates must satisfy at least one of the below educational requirements for the particular paper they wish to apply for.

  • 12th pass with 50% + 02-year Diploma in Elementary education (CT or D.El.Ed)
  • 12th pass with 45% + 02-year Diploma in elementary education in accordance with NCTE
  • 12th pass with 50% + 04 year B.El.Ed
  • 12th pass with 50% + 02-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
  • Graduation + Diploma in elementary education/B.Ed in accordance with NCTE
  • Graduation with 50% + 01 year B.Ed
  • Graduation + 02-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Graduation with 45% marks + 01-year B.Ed in accordance with NCTE
  • Graduation with 50% + 1-year B. Ed (Special Education)
  • 12th pass with minimum 50% + 04 year B.El.Ed
  • 12th pass with 50% marks + 04-year B.A./ B.Sc, Ed or B.A. Ed.

Candidates with the following qualifications can also apply:

  • Postgraduation with at least 55% marks or equivalent and integrated B.Ed-M.Ed
  • Postgraduation with at least 50% marks and B.Ed
