OSSC CGL DV Admit Card 2023 has been released! The Odisha CGL Document Verification round will be held from 17th to 24th November 2023 (except for 19th November 2023). This is for the 2022 cycle. Earlier, OSSC CGL Vacancies were revised to 576 posts in total for the 2023 cycle. The OSSC CGL 2023 Notification was released on 7th October 2023 (Advt No. 4004/OSSC). The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) conducts the Odisha Combined Graduate Level Exam or OSSC CGL 2023 exam for recruitment to various Group B and Group C State Cadre Posts under the Odisha Government.  Check the important dates, exam pattern, syllabus, and other details of the OSSC CGL Recruitment in this article.

• A total of 576 vacancies are now revised for OSSC CGL Recruitment 2023 across various posts such as  Auditor, Junior Assistant, etc.
• Candidates can apply online from 14th October to 14th November 2023.
• The OSSC CGL selection process comprises Prelims, Mains, Skill Test (for few posts) and Document Verification. Candidates must have proficiency in the Odia language to be eligible for these posts.
• Selected candidates in the OSSC CGL Exam 2023 will be given salary in Pay Level 9 for Group B posts and Pay Level - 4 and 7 for respective Group C posts.

27th October 2023: OSSC CGL Vacancy Increased

OSSC CGL Vacancy 2023

As per the official notice given above, a total of 576 vacancies have been revised for OSSC CGLRE-2023. Earlier, a total of 504 vacancies have been released for the OSSC CGL Group B & C State Cadre Posts across various departments of the Govt. of Odisha. As per the new OSSC CGL 2023 notification. For the ongoing 2022 cycle, a total of 1338 vacancies were released for the various Group B and C posts initially as well as other posts as given below.

OSSC CGL Selection Process 2023

The OSSC CGL 2022 Group B and Group C selection process has been shared below.

• Preliminary Examination (CBRE)
• Mains Written Examination
• Computer Skill Test (for some posts)
• Document Verification.

Note -

• Candidates need to clear each stage of the OSSC CGL  in order to get selected.
• Mathematics Test shall be held only for the Auditor post in Mains stage.
• The Computer Skill Test will be applicable for posts such as Auditor, Inspector of Supplies, Junior Assistant (HOD/Field Offices)

OSSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2023

Aspiring candidates of the OSSC Combined Graduate Level must check all the required eligibility criteria before applying for the Grade “B” and Grade "C" posts. The OSSC CGL Eligibility Criteria for the OSSC CGL 2023 exams have been shared below. 

Age Limit(As on 01.01.2023)

The minimum and maximum age criteria to apply for the OSSC CGL Exam 2023 has been shared below. 

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 38 years.

Candidates must not be below the age of 21 years and not exceed the age limit of 38 years. Age relaxation will be provided as per govt. rules, i.e., 5 years for the SC/ST/SEBC/Women candidates and 10 years for the PwD candidates. 

Educational Qualification 

The educational qualification required to apply for the OSSC Combined Graduate Examination has been shared below. 

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a government-recognized university or institution.
• They must be able to read, write, and speak Odia fluently.
• They must have passed Middle School Exam with Odia as language subject OR
• They must have qualified HSC or equivalent exam with Odia as medium of exam in non-language subject OR
• They should have passed in Odia as language subject in final exam of class 7 or above from a school/institution recognised by Odisha or Central Govt OR
• They must have passed an Odia test in Middle English School std. conducted by the School & Mass Education Dept., Govt. of Odisha. 
• They must have proficiency in computer skills in areas like the Internet, Email, Word processing, data analysis & presentation. 

Nationality

• Only candidates with Indian nationality are eligible to apply for the OSSC CGL Examinations.

OSSC CGL Exam Pattern 2023

For the revised exam pattern for the OSSC CGL Exam 2023 has been shared below. There will be two stages in the exam. Stage-I: Prelims and Stage-II Mains Examination. Candidates need to clear both stages to move forward in the selection process. 

Stage I: Preliminary Examination

• The OSSC CGL Prelims Exam will consist of only one paper. 
• The exam will be conducted in a Computer Based Recruitment Examination mode (CBRE).
• The questions will be of objective type. 
• 150 questions will be asked for 150 marks.
• A negative marking of 1/4th marks will be there if there are four options, and 1/3rd marks will take place upon three options. 

Stage II: Mains Written Examination

The exam pattern for the OSSC CGL 2023 main examination has been shared below.

• The questions will be short answers and objective type. 
• The negative marking scheme will be applicable as equivalent to Prelims stage above. 
• There will be different technical paper for different posts in the OSSC CGL Specialist Posts.
• Mathematics test will be held only for the Auditors post. 
• The qualifying marks in Computer Skill Test & Mathematics Test will be 50% of total marks.
