23rd August 2023: MPSC State Services Vacancies Revised!

Under Advt No. 011/2023, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission has revised the MPSC Rajyaseva vacancies. Now, a total of 1098 posts across various cadres and departments are to be filled. Earlier, only 681 vacancies were released as per the notice given under the vacancy header below.

23rd February 2023: MPSC State Services Revised Mains Exam Pattern to be applicable from 2025 cycle

As per a tweet by MPSC, the revised exam pattern for the mains examination will be applicable from the 2025 cycle onwards. For more details, candidates must regularly check the MPSC website.

MPSC Rajyaseva Vacancy

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission has increased the number of total vacancies for MPSC State Services Recruitment 2023 under Advt No. 011/2023. As per the official notice released on 23rd August 2023, a total number of 1098 vacancies will be filled across various posts/cadres/departments of State for Maharashtra Civil Services Gazetted Combined Preliminary Exam 2023. Earlier, only a total of 681 vacancies for the MPSC Rajyaseva Recruitment 2023 were to be filled.

The application process for the MPSC Rajyaseva Recruitment exam will be held through an online platform. The aspirants who had apply for the exam through the MPSC portal. The application process for the MPSC State Services Mains 2023 Exam will begin on 2nd March 2023 and will remain open till 22nd March 2023.

The process of the MPSC Rajyaseva online application is made available to the aspirants of the MPSC Rajyaseva Recruitment exam in the official notification as well. Read below to know how to apply online for the MPSC Rajyaseva Recruitment exam in detail. Remember to keep all your documents ready when you attempt to fill the online MPSC Rajyaseva application form. Candidate who are willing to apply for MPSC Rajyaseva 2023 can either follow the steps given below or they can directly apply from the link given below:

  • Go to the official website of the Commission, and click on the MPSC online application link that you will find on the header.
  • Once you are redirected to the online application portal, you will need to register yourself. For this, click New User Registration on the top left corner.
  • Fill in your details and verify your registration. Now you will have a Login ID and password to access the site.
  • Login using your credentials, and now you can proceed to fill the MPSC application form by selecting the exam as Rajyaseva Exam.
  • Fill the complete form with all your details, such as personal information, educational qualifications, etc.
  • Once all your details have been filled and checked by you, upload the scanned copies of all the documents that are necessary. These include educational certificates, mark sheets, caste certificate, domicile certificate, etc.
  • Once the complete form is filled, click on submit.
  • You will now be directed to an online payment portal. Pay the MPSC application fee through any of the available models.
  • Print the MPSC application form, once the payment is successful. Keep it safe, as you will need it in the future.

MPSC Rajyaseva Application Fee

The MPSC Rajyaseva application fee is to be submitted for your application form to be accepted by the Commission.

  • The application fee for the aspirants belonging to the General category is Rs. 544/-
  • Application fee for those belonging to reserved categories is Rs. 344/-

The application fee is payable only once and is non-refundable even if you cancel your application later on.

MPSC Rajyaseva Selection Process

The MPSC Rajyaseva selection process is divided into three stages. The candidates who are selected after the first stage will appear in the second and so on. For an aspirant to get a post at any department of the state of Maharashtra, they will need to cross all the stages of the exam.

Prelims Exam

The prelims exam is a written exam. It is the screening test of the aspirants. The prelims include questions from subjects of general studies and aptitude. One needs to score more than the cut-off marks to get selected for the next stage. The MPSC Rajyaseva Cut Off marks are decided by the Commission.

  • Prelims exams consist of Paper I and Paper-II. 
  • The total marks are 400

Main Exam

The main exam is also a written test. The exam is held so that the knowledge of the selected candidates in the fields such as politics, geography, human resource development, etc. can be judged.

  • The mains exams consist of Paper I, II, III, IV, V, and VI. 
  • The total marks are 800.

Interview

The selected candidates from the main exam then appear for a personal interview. The panel judges the candidate on his or her presence of mind, aptitude, mental ability, and field knowledge. The candidates who cross the interview stage will then be recruited to their desired post. The total marks shall be 100.

Certificated Needed for Candidate Verification Post Selection

Once the candidate has crossed the interview test, they will need to verify all the documents that they have submitted through the online application form. These documents include the following.

  • Educational certificates issued from University/ School Board.
  • Marksheets of degree obtained.
  • Community Certificate (if applicable)
  • No Objection Certificate from current employer (if applicable)
  • Any Identification certificate with a photo such as Aadhar Card, Driving License, etc.

MPSC Rajyaseva Eligibility Criteria

The MPSC Rajyaseva eligibility criteria should be checked by the aspirants before applying for the MPSC Rajyaseva Recruitment exam. If they fail to meet any condition detailed in the criterion, their application will be rejected.

Nationality

The aspirants should be legal citizens of India.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for the posts of Rajyaseva Exams is 19 years. The minimum age limit is the same for all communities and other special cases. There is some relaxation given in the maximum age limit to some categories. These can be found in the table here.

Educational Qualification

The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree or its equivalents from any recognized and registered university in India. However, the qualification for some specific posts is as follows:

  • Assistant Director, Maharashtra Finance & Accounts Services: Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/CA/Outlaw Accounting by ICWA/Post Graduate Degree in Commerce/MBA (Finance)
  • Assistant Regional Transport Officer: Degree in Science or Engineering with Physics & Mathematics.
  • Graduation for other posts

In addition to the above requirements, knowledge of the Marathi language is mandatory for all the posts.

Physical Criteria

For some of the posts of the Rajyaseva exam, the physical criteria have also been set by the Commission. If you are applying for the post of Deputy Superintendent of State Excise, Assistant Commissioner of State Excise, and Regional Transport Officer, then you should refer to the MPSC Rajyaseva official notification to get the details of physical criteria.

MPSC Rajyaseva Interview Syllabus

Once the candidates clear the mains exam, they will be called in for the interview round. The following are a few points that will be checked upon by the interviewer.

  • A board appointed by the MPSC will take the interview of the candidates. They will have the record of the candidate's career and interests that were filled in by the candidate in his/her application form.
  • A board of unbiased observers will check the candidate's personal suitability for the career in the Rajyasevas.
  • Candidates, apart from their academic study, must have up-to-date knowledge of the current affairs within and outside the state.
  • The interview mainly focuses on the mental qualities and analytical ability of the candidates.

MPSC Rajyaseva Exam Pattern

The MPSC Rajyaseva Recruitment exam pattern for both exams is detailed below.

Prelims Exam Pattern

  • MPSC prelims exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates have to score the minimum marks to be able to attend the mains exam.
  • According to the latest exam pattern, Paper II (CSAT) will be qualifying in nature. The minimum qualifying marks are 33%.
  • The exam consists of multiple-choice questions.
  • 2 hours are given for each paper.
  • Each paper is of 200 marks..
  • The exam is available in two languages, Marathi and English.

The candidates who clear the MPSC Mains exam will be qualified for the next stage, i.e., the Interview round. There is no particular exam pattern for the interview stage, but the candidates need to stay updated with the current affairs within and outside the state of Maharashtra. They will be tested for their General Knowledge and Mental abilities in this interview round held by a Board appointed by the MPSC.

My photograph is not acceptable in the application form. What should I do?

Confirm that the photograph has an acceptable file extension. If yes, then you will need to refresh the application form and try again.

Do I need to upload color scanned copies of my certificate?

Though not necessary, your scans should be in color to assure clarity.

Do I need to print my application form?

Yes, you should. In case your MPSC Rajyaseva application form is rejected, the receipt of online payment will help you to prove that your MPSC application fee was paid successfully. Also, you will need your application ID in the future.

How many vacancies are released for MPSC State Services Recruitment 2023?

A total of 1098 vacancies are to be filled for Maharasthra Civil Services Gazetted Joint Prelims exam 2023 under Advt No. 011/2023. Earlier, a total of 681 posts across various cadres were to be filled.
