The GPSC AE Answer Key has been released for the exam held on 25th June 2023. This is with reference to AE Civil (Advt. No. 26/2022-23).

19th August 2023: GPSC AE Answer Key Out

The GPSC AE Answer Key has been released for the exam held on 18th August 2023. This is the provisional key and objections against the same will be accepted online by 24th August 2023.

GPSC Assistant Engineer Application Fee

An application fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees Hundred only) is applicable, which is non-refundable. However, candidates belonging to SC/ST/EWS UR/PWD (whose permanent disability is more than 40%), Ex-SM of Gujarat are exempted from paying the application fee.

GPSC Assistant Engineer Selection Process 

There are mainly two stages that the candidates have to clear in order to be selected for the post of Assistant Engineer by GPSC. Each of these carries a weightage of 50% in the overall selection process. Details of the same have been elaborated in the following subsections.

GPSC AE Primary Test

This stage-I of the GPSC Assistant Engineer selection process is divided into 2 stages of 300 marks. The exam tests the knowledge of candidates across topics of General Studies, and subjects of concerned Engineering specialization.

GPSC AE Interview

This is the final stage in the selection process of the GPSC Assistant Engineer recruitment. All the candidates shortlisted in the prelims examination will be called for the interview. In this stage, candidates will be tested on their knowledge and skills required for their respective positions. A candidate who is called for this stage has to bring with them the hard copy of the original documents in support of the claims made by them during the application process. Candidates are required to mention each copy of the documents "Submitted by me" and put their signature and date on the same.

GPSC Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must ensure that he/she fulfills the GPSC Assistant Engineer Eligibility Criteria set by the commission. If the candidate does not meet any of the eligibility criteria, his/her application will be summarily rejected by the GPSC.

GPSC AE Nationality

Any candidate who is willing to apply for this position must be either a:

• citizen of India
• subject of Bhutan or Nepal
• a Tibetan refugee who migrated permanently to India before 1st January 1962.
• an Indian origin person from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Vietnam

GPSC Assistant Engineer Exam Pattern

The GPSC Assistant Engineer exam 2022 will consist of two stages i.e. Primary Test and Interview.

GPSC Assistant Engineer Salary
