The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or popularly known as GATE is an Entrance exam that serves as a gateway for all Engineering aspirants to fulfil their dream of getting a Master's Degree or getting into leading PSUs. The GATE CE Exam is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE under the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development. This year IISc Bengaluru is conducting the exams. Candidates must know every minute of information related to the exam like exam pattern, exam date, eligibility, previous year cut-off marks, and so on. GATE CE 2024 Application Correction window is Active. Candidates can correct their application from the link given in this article.
Step 1: Go to the official website of GATE, and reach the GATE CE registration page.
Step 2: Candidates must register themselves by filling up the necessary information as a new user.
Step 3: Save your Registration ID and password for future reference.
Step 4: Log in with the Registration ID and password.
Step 5: Fill up important details.
Step 6: Candidates must upload their recent photograph and signature.
Step 7: Submit your application form.
Step 8: Proceed for payment of application fees.
Step 9: Alternatively, you can also find the link on the GATE Official Website.
Step 10: Candidates will find a link that says, “Portal is open now! “

The candidates will have to appear for a competitive exam. Then the admission cut-off will be released by various reputed universities and PSUs. Candidates will have to fill the forms of these colleges prior. The GATE CE exam is only a 1 stage exam. Successful candidates equal to the number of seats will be admitted. There shall be no interview. Hence the candidates will only have to undergo a written exam.
Eligibility criteria are a very prime factor every candidate must cross-check before applying for the exam. Board has set education qualification eligibility for all the streams examination. There is absolutely no age limit in GATE. Candidates from any age group can apply for the GATE CE 2024 exam.
The applicant must be an Indian citizen. Foreign candidates can also apply for the exam but they need to fulfill the required eligibility criteria.
Candidates who have obtained/are pursuing their qualifying degree from outside India must be currently in the 3rd year or higher years or completed their Bachelor’s degree in their field of Engineering / Technology / Science / Arts / Commerce. GATE Civil Engineering Syllabus is divided usually into 7 parts. Those seven sections of the GATE Civil Engineering syllabus have been further subdivided into several sub-sections. The GATE exam is conducted online for all streams. It is a Computer Based test in which multiple-choice questions will be asked by the authority.
