The total number of vacancies for Delhi Police Driver 2023 has not been released yet. The official notification will specify the exact number of openings for 2023. Step 2: On the SSC homepage click on the ‘Apply’ option. 

Step 3: Search for the ‘Constable (Driver) - Male in Delhi Police Examination’ link. Click on the link.

Step 4: You will get a ‘Login to Apply for the examination’ prompt. Click on ‘Ok’.

Step 5: You will be redirected back to the SSC homepage, where you will find the Login section. If you are a new user, click on ‘Register Now’ and enter all your details in the next page to generate your registration number and password, else login with your pre-registered details.

Step 6: Fill in the application with the required details, and make sure that the details are correctly entered and there is no discrepancy.

Step 7: Once the application form is filled, attach the required scanned documents, and review the details filled in the application form. 

Step 8: Before submitting the application form, pay the required application fee using an online payment gateway. Download the application form once submitted and get a printout of it for future reference.

Delhi Police Driver Application Fee 2023 (Expected)

Before submitting the application form, the candidates are required to pay the application fee to complete the application process. The application fee has to be paid within the prescribed time limit. Any failure or delay in the payment may lead to the cancellation of the application. Delhi Police Driver Selection Process 2023

The Delhi Police Driver Selection Process is conducted in three phases beginning with a computer-based examination, then the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE & MT), and the Trade test. The same can be expected for 2023. In case of any change in the selection process for the 2023 cycle will be updated in the official notification. The details regarding these stages are given below.

Computer Based Examination (CBT)

The candidates are required to clear the computer-based examination for further consideration. The examination is of 100 marks and is an objective type paper. The examination covers four topics such as General Awareness, General Intelligence, and so on.

Delhi Police Driver Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE & MT)

The second step in the Delhi Police Driver selection process is bifurcated into Physical Endurance and Measurement Test with the first one being a qualifying round. The candidates have to outshine others in the 1600m long race, High and Long Jump to clear the Physical Endurance Test. The Physical Measurement Test will be taken for candidates who qualify the Endurance Test and includes height and chest measurement where the listed variables must be above the specified limit. Furthermore, the candidates have to pass the medical test to make sure they do not suffer from any ailment.

Trade Test

The trade test is a qualifying round wherein the driving skills of the candidates are tested. It is subdivided into a Heavy vehicle driving test, Light Vehicle driving test, knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and traffic signs/symbols. Based on these tests, the candidates will be selected for the Delhi Police Driver post. Note that the candidate must be equipped with a valid driving license else the legal action will be taken for forged license. 

Medical Test

There are certain medical standards that have been set by the Delhi Police Recruitment Board that the Delhi Police Driver must meet, in order to get selected for the post. The Medical Standards have been discussed further in detail.

Delhi Police Driver Eligibility Criteria 2023

The Delhi Police Driver eligibility criteria has certain points that the candidates must go through, to avoid cancellation of the application. The eligibility criteria include the educational qualifications, age limit, and vehicular knowledge of the aspirants. 

Age Limit (As on 01.07.2022)

The applicants must be above 21 years to be eligible for the Delhi Police Driver Recruitment. The range for the age limit is 21-30 years under normal circumstances.

Apart from this, the department allows relaxations in the upper age limit in certain cases. The upper age limit for the following categories are:

• Departmental candidates of General Category - 40 years
• Departmental candidates of OBC division - 43 years
• Departmental candidates of SC/ST division - 45 years

A ‘departmental candidate’ is one who has rendered regular services in Delhi Police for 3 continuous years and fulfills all other educational and physical qualifications. An official notification for the 2023 cycle will be released by the authorities mentioning the age limit. The same can be expected for 2023. Any changes will be notified much prior to the exam. 

Educational Qualification

Vehicular Requirements

• The applicants should be confident in driving heavy vehicles.

Delhi Police Driver 2023 Syllabus

The Delhi Police Department conducts computer-based examinations as the first step of the recruitment process. The Delhi Police Driver syllabus can be downloaded from Delhi Police’s official website. Delhi Police Driver Exam Pattern

The Delhi Police Driver Exam Pattern for CBT, PE & MT and Trade Test have been given in the tables below. The same can be expected for 2023. Any changes will be notified well in advance to the exam. 

Computer Based Test (CBT)

The first round of the Delhi Police Driver Selection Process is the CBT and the exam pattern will be as per the following points:

• The examination is an objective type paper.
• Total weightage is 100 marks and candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam.
• Each question will carry 1 mark.
• There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE & MT)

There are certain physical requirements set by the Delhi Police Recruitment Board, for candidates who want to join the Delhi Police Services in the post of Delhi Police Constable (Driver). This is a qualifying round and carries no marks.

Physical Endurance Test

The following Physical Endurance tests will be conducted to test the fitness of the appearing candidates and the age wise qualification parameters have been explained here:

Note: The candidates who qualify the Race will be eligible to appear for the Long Jump and High Jump. Only 3 chances will be given to qualify the Long Jump and High Jump and candidates have to clear them in any one of the three chances. There is no provision to appeal against disqualification in the Race, Long Jump, and Hugh Jump.

Physical Measurement Test

Those qualifying the Endurance Test will be subjected to the Measurement Test. The measurement criteria that the Delhi Police Driver candidates have to qualify are as follows:

Trade Test 

The Trade Test is conducted to test the driving skills of the appearing candidates. Only those who possess a valid driving licence shall be eligible for this stage of selection. This too is a qualifying round and the candidates have to obtain the below mentioned marks to qualify for the next round of the selection process.

Delhi Police Driver Cut Off 2023

The Delhi Police Driver cut off list is prepared by the Delhi Police Department once the examination is conducted. It is based on various factors such as the number of applicants, the total number of vacant seats, and the overall performance of the candidates. The Delhi Police Constable (Driver) Cutoffs will only be released for the computer based exam, as PE & MT and Trade Test are qualifying examinations.

However, the official Delhi Police notification 2023 has not been released, hence, the minimum qualifying marks have not been released yet for 2023. These marks should be secured by the candidates in the Computer Based Exam to qualify for the PE & MT. The minimum qualifying marks differ as per the category of the candidates in the previous year are mentioned below for reference. The same can be expected for 2023. Delhi Police Driver Salary Details 2023 (Expected)

The Delhi Police Driver Salary Details for the year 2023 have not been specified yet. Candidates must read the previous year's salary details carefully to get an idea about all the important details about in-hand salary, grade pay, etc. The same is expected for the 2023 cycle.
