7th November 2023: Bihar STET Exam Scorecard out!

The Bihar STET Scorecard Out! The Bihar School Examination Board released the State Teacher Eligibility Test Scorecard on 7th November 2023. this is for the 2023 cycle. 

Bihar STET Apply Online 2024

In order to appear for the Bihar STET exam, the aspirants need to submit the application form through online mode. The process to do so has been given below.

Step 1: Go to the official website of Bihar STET and click on "Register (New Candidate)."

Step 2: Candidates need to proceed by entering all the relevant personal and educational details.

Step 3: Upload the scanned copies of the documents in the required format.

Step 4: The candidates can finally submit the Bihar STET application form online after paying the application fee.

Bihar STET Application Fee 2024 (Expected)

The application fee will depend on the papers for which the candidate is applying. If a general category applicant is appearing for Paper I or Paper II, the fee will be Rs. 960 and if he/she wishes to appear for both papers, the fees will be Rs. 1440/-. The concessions for the reserved categories are mentioned in the table given below.

Bihar STET Eligibility Criteria 2024 (Expected)

Interested candidates who wish to appear for the exam must first need to satisfy the Bihar STET Eligibility Criteria. Each criterion has been discussed below for your better understanding.

A. Nationality

Candidates who are citizens of India can apply for the vacancy.

B. Age Limit

The Bihar STET age limit that is very important for all aspirants to know. The minimum age limit of the candidate must be 21 years. The upper age limit has been mentioned in the table given below.

C. Educational Qualification

• For Paper I Applicants– The candidate must have completed Graduation and B.Ed.
• For Paper II Applicants– Candidate must have a post-graduate degree in the relevant subject. and B.Ed degree.

Group of Subjects for Graduation 

(a) Mathematics:- Any two of the subjects Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/Chemistry/Statistics with Mathematics at graduation level OR Graduate in Engineering with specialization in Mathematics. In this sequence, it is clarified that BCA qualification in computer science at the graduation level will be considered included.

(b) Science:- Must have studied Animal Science (Zoology), Botany and Chemistry at graduate level or graduate in engineering with specialization in science. In addition to the above subjects, Biotechnology / Microbiology is also included under this.

(c) Social Science:- Passed in any two subjects out of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science under a subsidiary subject/prestige subject at graduation level, in which one subject must be history or geography. Ancient History subject will be considered equivalent to History subject.

(d) Language-related subject:- For the post of secondary teacher, it is mandatory to have studied at graduation level as a language-related subject.

Note: In case of any dispute on the point of recognition of any degree of teaching and training or on the point of equivalence of a particular degree, the decision of the department in consultation with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) will be final.
