Interview 

Candidates who clear the written exam will be called in for the interview in order of merit in the ratio 1:7 to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category. Physically Challenged candidates will be accorded upto 25% relaxation below the cut-off marks in their respective categories for being shortlisted for interview. The final merit list shall be prepared on the basis of 75% weightage to Examination Score & 25% weightage to Interview Stage.

Interview

The candidates who score above the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the interview round based on certain criteria. To shortlist candidates in a 1:5 ratio, all UR candidates and reserved category (i.e. EWS, OBC, SC, ST) candidates in that discipline who do not qualify for any relaxation, will be grouped together and then arranged in descending order of merit of their Examination marks (marks out of 100) and candidates will be called for interview in the order in which they were shortlisted.

Candidates from the EWS/OBC/SC/ST categories who are not shortlisted for an interview under the UR category will be regrouped with their respective categories for further consideration, and candidates will be invited for interview in their respective categories in a 1:7 ratio. Interviews will be held for all candidates who receive the same cut-off marks in their respective groups.

The final merit list will be compiled using a 75% weighting for examination scores and a 25% weighting for the interview stage.

BHEL Engineer Trainee Salary Details

The pay matrix level for the BHEL Engineer Trainee post is designed by the Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited according to the 7th Pay Commission. During the training period of one year, basic pay of Rs. 50,000/- in the scale of pay of Rs. 50,000-1,60,000/- will be paid. After successful completion of training, the trainees will be absorbed as Engineers in the scale of pay of Rs. 60,000-1,80,000/- with a basic pay of Rs 60,000/-. The candidates will also avail of additional BHEL Engineer Trainee Salary, raises, and benefits after the probation period.
